In 2014, after completing multiple volunteer programs with Peace Corps and Human Rights Action Center in Cambodia, Thailand and Burma, as well as graduating from American University, Kirk Acevedo founded the for-profit corporation with a social mission - Zomia.
Zomia is the connection between lenders that are looking to provide investments and students in need of financial means in a peer-to-peer lending process, and together, they create differences.
